Blocking and Homework Notes from November 3rd

Everything for Tales of the Old North should now be off book and memorized for next week

Hey Ho, Nobody Home!

Opening scene: The village is struggling. Know your characters and your buds! You should have an intent: look around, pick up items, warm your hands by the fire, interact with others, etc. Make sure you're using your peripheral vision to check in with Christina so you don't slow down.

Blocking

• Beginning: on a platform or spilling down on the floor (TBA when we get in the space). You'll be mixed so if it's helpful to be with a bud.
• Letter A: Stay still at the back
• Letter B: Stay still at the back but the lights will come up.
• Measure 31-beginning of letter C (OOoos): Start to walk down on the floor - two sets of stairs on each side
• Letter C: you're walking through the village using the whole stage space. Remember!! At "Please good misses a soal cake" stop walking, sharp turn to face the audience, then continue walking.
• Letter D: Go off to the sides (unless you're singing a solo verse centre stage - exit stage right)
• Going in to Letter E: stand still and face forward (by someone who will be singing your part).

Wind Soundscape 

• Please have this memorized for our next rehearsal.
• On the first page everyone is singing the second soprano part except for Sophie/Antoinette who sing the soprano and Rory/Rhian who sing alto. Christina will cue the sopranos first then altos.

Hanget Soi

****Small change! In order for Big Xara to change costumes, you will now be singing Letter A to Letter B alone. Big Xara will then join you on stage.
