Homework for Tuesday June 2

Hi everyone!

Thank you for the great rehearsal on Tuesday evening - I know we were fighting some tired energy but we made some good progress. Before next week, everyone needs to do a lot of personal work to make sure that they are 100% perfect on all music, choreography, lines, and scene changes. We need to be refining and tightening the show on Tuesday, not re-teaching anything that might still be shaky. If you have missed any rehearsals over the last month, it is your responsibility to check in with someone from your section to make sure you know what you've missed.

Note that this performance is happening in Bethany's Church Hall, NOT the sanctuary space. Therefore, please use the entry doors and parking lot on Joseph Howe Drive.

Tickets

You now have each been given 5 or more tickets for the performance! Tickets are $15 adult and $10 student. Reminder that we are asking all singers to try and sell at least 5 tickets to the show. If you were not at rehearsal this past Tuesday, you can feel free to collect money for tickets this week and we can give you the tickets at the June 2 rehearsal. If you need more tickets than the 5 you were given, we can provide you with those on Tuesday night!

Posters

If you took posters on Tuesday night, please make sure to put them up in places where lots of people will see them! We want to promote the show as much as possible!

Costumes

You are responsible for providing your own costume. Please wear/bring your costume on Tuesday night. As well, we need everyone to bring a backpack or whatever other bag you would use for school!

Homework for Tuesday May 26!

Hi everyone!

Thank you for a wonderful rehearsal on Tuesday - we are making great progress with our show, but as we discussed, it's up to everyone to work on their lines, music, and blocking this week so that we are a big step ahead when we get to next Tuesday's rehearsal! Next week we are expecting everyone to be 100% solid and off-book with everything for the show!! Just a few reminders:

Blocking

I have just emailed out a PDF that has blocking notes for all the songs in the show. Please review this PDF carefully and use it to help you get your choreography to 100% for this Tuesday's rehearsal. In particular, Warrior and You are the New Day were very rough on Tuesday and these notes should help you get those pieces totally solid. In addition, please take note of the order that you walk forward in Mad World - we haven't done it correctly during the last two runs!

Rehearsal Schedule

Our rehearsal schedule for the last couple of weeks leading up to the show is on the Google Calendar (look to the right!). Note that the next two Tuesday rehearsals will run until 9:15 pm and that we have dress rehearsals on Friday June 5 and Saturday June 6.

Tickets

You will receive physical tickets to sell for the show next Tuesday. Note that we are asking everyone to try and sell at least 5 tickets to the show! Online tickets will be available very soon via our website. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 students.

Costumes

You will be responsible for providing your own costume for the show. Since the show takes place in present times, we are sure that you will be able to find something in your wardrobe that will work. Please think about your character and what kind of clothing they would wear, and bring some options to this coming Tuesday's rehearsal.
